Parent Workshops - More Than Words®

Aoife is a Hanen Certified Instructor for a number of Hanen programs including the More Than Words® Program. This evidence-based parent training program empowers parents to connect and communicate with their child.

The More Than Words® Program was designed specifically for parents of children ages 5 and under with social communication challenges or a diagnosis of autism. Addressing the unique learning styles of these children, the online program provides parents with the tools, strategies and support they need to help their children reach their full communication potential.

The online program may be suitable for children who are already attending Speech and Language Therapy or who are on waiting lists for one-to-one intervention. The children who attend the program may be using no words, single words or some short phrases to communicate.

The small group sessions provide parents with the unique opportunity to meet other families in a similar situation and many families end up staying in touch following the program.

Program Details

The More Than Words® Online program is being offered via Zoom as developed by the Hanen Centre. The program runs for two to three months.
